Statement from Norbreck Bowling and Tennis Club Committee:
“In line with Government guidelines issued on Monday 11th May we are now able to remove some of the restrictions around access to the Club grounds.
“Norbreck Bowling and Tennis Club Members are advised that the Clubhouse and pavilion will remain closed and that those wishing to use the tennis courts and the bowling green must adhere to the guidance produced by their respective sporting authority and do so entirely at their own risk and in the knowledge and understanding that the Club accepts no liability or responsibility for such activity.
“Public spaces : SAGE advise that the risk of infection outside is significantly lower than inside, so the Government is updating the rules so that, as well as exercise, people can now also spend time outdoors subject to: not meeting up with any more than one person from outside your household; continued compliance with social distancing guidelines to remain two metres (6ft) away from people outside your household.
“You are therefore respectfully requested to comply with the above and be alert to pinch points and surface contamination of gate locks and hard surfaces. You need to have a well thought out method of managing the games if you are playing with someone else, the key to this is NO MORE THAN 2 PEOPLE PLAYING TOGETHER if you do not live under the same roof.”
Detailed guidance has been produced by each section committee and endorsed by the main Executive Committee. Any member found in breach of guidelines will face disciplinary action.
Norbreck Bowling and Tennis Club facilities are not open to the general public and are for use by members on pre-booking and appointment only during this time.
