Member Update – Sunday 25th April

We would like to announce that the Executive Committee have put in place procedures that will allow the club to re-open to provide members with outside drinking opportunities at selected times.

This will allow us to gradually reopen with the expectation that from Monday 17th May (if Government advises) we can reopen the clubhouse for inside activities with conditional guidance on numbers and social distancing etc.

Therefore, the bar facilities will re-open to OUTSIDE drinking only this Friday 30th April with the following procedure in place:

Members must sign in and scan the NHS track and trace bar code on entering the club grounds. This is now a legal requirement.

Members are to find a table/seat/area where their group (in line with current restrictions) can use and elect one member of the group to order and deliver their drinks.

The members wishing to order drinks are to form a socially distanced queue outside the main clubhouse doors, which will be open to allow entry to the foyer area of the club to order, pick up drinks and return empty glasses from a table which will be placed across the entrance door to the snooker room.  A member of staff will be present taking orders, delivering drinks and taking payments (preferably contactless).

The opening times (which will be reviewed) are as follows:

  • Friday 30/04/21 – 3pm – 9pm
  • Saturday 01/05/21 – 2pm – 9pm
  • Sunday 02/05/21 – 2pm – 9pm – (see below for details of tennis and bowls activities)
  • Monday 03/04/21 – 2pm – 9pm

The clubhouse will then be open for outside drinking only on the following weekends Fri – Sun with the same opening hours.

The car park on Clovelly Avenue will be re-opened to allow members to park.

There is access to toilet facilities. The disabled toilet will be opened for use by male members and members with a disability only. The ladies toilets will be open.

Social Distancing Guidelines
We ask that all members continue to adhere at all times to the 2 metre social distancing guidelines whilst at NB&TC.
