Four young tennis stars from Norbreck Bowling and Tennis Club are celebrating their achievements on becoming the club’s newest tennis coaches for 2018.

Ella, Eve, Georgia and Amelia passed their Tennis Leaders Course this week, which will see them join the Norbreck Tennis Coaching Team in the new year.

The Tennis Leader qualification is awarded through the Lawn Tennis Association for ages 13+. The course consists of core and additional modules which take the participants through the basics of tennis and teaches them to understand the variations of the game to be able to introduce the sport and support players of all ages and abilities.

As Tennis Leaders the girls will now be assisting the club coaching team and committee with the day to day running of the courts and the tennis programme including leading practice sessions and helping to run and score in competitions.
