If you’ve been thinking about giving crown green bowls a go or you would like to start getting back into it after the long break we’ve all had (!), we offer a great opportunity to do just that.
Every Monday evening from 6.00pm – 8pm, our friendly bowlers are down at the green to welcome anyone who would like to try their hand a bowls or just use the group session as a chance to improve and learn off others.
Did you know? Crown Green Bowls is proven to have many physical and mental health benefits including:
- Low impact exercise at a slower pace in the great ‘social’ outdoors – what’s not to enjoy?!
- As bowls is considered a precision sport, it’s a great way to focus the brain – so if your brain is particularly busy multi-tasking most of the time, this is actually a great way to unwind and concentrate solely on the task at hand – while enjoying the challenge and competition the sport provides by nature.
- It’s a great way to get back into fitness too – so if like most of use you’ve been pretty sedentary over the last year, crown green bowls can really help get your fitness levels back up and widen your social circle too.

Norbreck Bowling and Tennis Club is a members club and we welcome new members all year round, so if your first time is when you come down to get involved with bowls – that’s absolutely fine! We’ll go through everything with you when you arrive.
